Steve DeMink is a second-generation sign and graphics professional who was raised in a manufacturing company and began learning the industry from an early age. His experience was built through hands-on involvement in virtually every aspect of the business—from manufacturing and production to equipment, supplies, sales, training, and customer support.

During the 1990s and 2000s, Steve was actively involved with Exciters Graphics, a company that supplied the sign and graphics industry with sign-making supplies, vinyl, cutting equipment, printing equipment, and related production technologies. Steve was involved in all aspects of the operation, giving him a broad understanding of both the business and technical sides of the industry.

His experience included equipment and supply sales, customer consultation, production, equipment demonstrations, material selection, troubleshooting, and hands-on instruction. He worked directly with customers to help them select the right equipment and materials and understand how to successfully incorporate new technologies into their production environments.

Steve also has extensive screen-printing and graphics-production experience, including producing graphics for the boat and RV industries. This work provided valuable experience with specialty substrates, large-format graphics, durable outdoor applications, production requirements, and the unique demands of marine and recreational-vehicle graphics.

Throughout his career, Steve has remained involved in the advancement of sign and graphics technology, including cutting and printing equipment, digital production, vinyl graphics, specialty applications, automotive graphics, pinstriping, window film, powder-coated graphics, masking and stencil techniques, and custom finishing.

Steve's industry experience also includes involvement with major trade organizations and events such as SEMA, ISA, and SGAI, including exhibiting, product demonstrations, education, and professional training.

As an experienced instructor, Steve has taught educational and hands-on training classes, sharing practical knowledge developed through decades of real-world production and manufacturing experience.

What makes Steve's background unique is the breadth of his experience: he didn't simply sell equipment, manufacture products, or teach classes—he was involved in all of these areas and understood how they worked together.

Today, Steve brings that knowledge to professional training with a focus on practical skills, proven production methods, equipment knowledge, material selection, troubleshooting, and techniques that can be applied immediately in a real-world sign and graphics operation.
